Agent Transparency
mssg.it includes optional AI-assisted features ("agent replies") to help you communicate more clearly, consistently, and respectfully.
This page explains what the agent does, what it uses, and what it does not do.
What the agent does
When enabled, the agent can:
- Suggest replies to incoming messages
- Automatically reply in specific, clearly defined situations
- Decide not to reply when a response would be unnecessary, repetitive, or intrusive
The goal is not to send more messages — it is to help you send better ones, and sometimes to help you stay silent.
How agent replies work
- Message context may be analyzed locally in your browser to determine whether a reply makes sense
- Replies are generated only when you explicitly enable agent features
- Built-in rules and confidence thresholds prevent unwanted or low-quality replies
If the agent is unsure, it does nothing.
What data the agent uses
- The agent may briefly analyze message context during your active WhatsApp Web session
- Limited, non-identifying signals may be recorded to assess whether the agent behaved correctly (for example: reply sent vs. skipped)
These signals are used only to improve agent reliability and safety.
What the agent does not do
- It does not store your conversations
- It does not train AI models on your messages
- It does not create user profiles or behavior scores
- It does not track engagement, open rates, or responses
- It does not read messages outside your active browser session
Your messages remain on your device and under your control.
Why you might see silence
Silence is a deliberate outcome.
The agent may choose not to reply when:
- A response would add no value
- A message has already been answered
- Sending a reply could feel repetitive or intrusive
This is intentional and aligned with mssg.it's philosophy: restraint is a feature.
Your control
- Agent replies are optional
- You can enable, disable, or adjust them at any time
- You always decide when messages are sent
The agent assists — it does not take control.
In short
The agent exists to help you communicate thoughtfully, not automatically.
If you ever wonder "Why did the agent reply?" or "Why didn't it?" — the answer is always grounded in clarity, restraint, and respect.
